Mollie Hicks, Volunteer Engagement Specialist

Sarah McGuire
Multi-Program Facilitator

Sarah McGuireDifferences Observed in Girls
“I saw the most significant difference in behavior with the 12-14 year olds. They were all pretty standoffish during the first week, but over the course of the program I could see them building trust with one another and even branching out to interact with everyone.”

How She Would Have Benefitted from Girls Inc. Programs
“It would’ve been great to interact with facilitators who were not part of my normal everyday life.  Knowing that the facilitators were there for the sole purpose of being with me and the other girls would’ve been inspiring.”

Impact of a Program Facilitator
“In working with Girls Inc., I am developing the potential of the girls, and acting as a catalyst for lasting change in their lives. As a program facilitator, although my interactions with the girls may be brief, I truly do feel that I am providing them with tools and thought processes to be strong, smart, and bold.”
