Volunteer Appreciation Week
Mollie Hicks, Volunteer Engagement Specialist

As we wrap up National Volunteer Week, I’d like to again thank our outstanding volunteers. It is only with the dedication of time and energy from volunteers that Girls Inc. can provide programs for thousands of girls.

In 2010, our volunteers helped Girls Inc. set new records!

  • 214 volunteers completed direct service.
  • 163 lead a six-week program.
  • 151 volunteers were trained to deliver programs.
  • 4,088 girls enrolled in a Girls Inc. program in 2010.
  • Volunteers inspired 2,622 individual girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

On Wednesday, we enjoyed celebrating with 37 volunteers at our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. Catch a glimpse of the event from the photos below or on our Facebook page. If you haven’t already, watch the volunteer thank you video from the Girls Inc. staff.

If you volunteer, whether for Girls Inc. or another organization, I want to thank you for dedicating your time to improving the lives of others. Happy Volunteer Appreciation Month!
