When I was a kid there was always a new women’s basketball waiting for me under the Christmas tree. I was never considered athletic by any means, but my family lived and breathed basketball. I’ve watched games in some of the most iconic gyms in Indiana – the Wigwam in Anderson, the biggest gym in Indiana at New Castle, Butler University’s Hinkle Fieldhouse, Assembly Hall at IU, and the historic gym from “Hoosiers” in Knightstown. What I’ve never seen is the best of the best among women’s collegiate teams compete in Indianapolis. Now I get to be a part of the action!

We are thrilled to be teaming up with the 2011 NCAA® Women’s Final Four® and we want you to be a part of it.
Volunteer with Girls Inc. at Stop. Shoot. Give. locations at the 2011 NCAA Women’s Final Four. Volunteers will help raise awareness for Girls Inc. while encouraging visitors to stop by the display, shoot a basket, and give a donation which will help support Girls Inc. Volunteer shifts are available from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. April 1-3. Additional volunteers are needed for Indiana Pacer and Women’s Final Four tournament games. Sign up to volunteer, or contact LaTasha Hudson, at 317.522.2610, for more information.
Parents, you are welcome to volunteer and bring your daughters. Tourney Town is a family-friendly event and an amazing opportunity to show your daughter what women’s basketball is all about.
When you shoot, Girls Inc. scores!
