Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis inspires greater Indianapolis girls to be strong, smart, and boldSM by delivering engaging, empowering programs to girls in outreach locations. Girls can find our programs, which are delivered by trained volunteer facilitators, at schools, youth organizations, libraries, churches, and other community centers throughout greater Indianapolis.
Girls Inc.’s programs each align with one of our three categories, which reflect the key words in our mission: Strong, Healthy Relationships; Smart College and Career Planning, and Bold, Empowered Girls. Girls Inc. also ensures that our programs are age-appropriate by customizing the content for each of our age groups: 6-8, 9-11, and 12-14. All of our programs are split into one-hour sessions and are delivered over the course of four to six weeks.
Our programs are offered on a rotating basis throughout the year, as Girls Inc. divides the year into fall, winter, spring, and summer cycles of programming.

Strong, Healthy Relationships
Building strong, healthy relationships takes practice and skills. Programs in this area give girls the tools they need in navigating relationships with their friends, families, and as they become young women, their romantic partners.
Setting goals and learning how to follow through are steps girls learn on the path to self-sufficiency. Programs in this area build skills such as goal setting and project management, while exploring a wide range of concepts in science, math, technology, economic literacy and careers.
Operation SMART® (Science, Math and Relevant Technology)
A bold, positive sense of self is one of the cornerstones in helping young girls and women become successful adults. These programs take on the issues of body image, self-esteem, and personal safety to help girls develop better self concepts and feelings of worth.
