Letter from Board Chair Jill Hagan

What a year 2009 was! It was a year of celebrating 40 years of service to the girls of greater Indianapolis. It was a year of unparalleled growth. It was a year of both physical and philosophical change as we continued to support our basic tenet of helping girls become strong, smart, and bold^SM.

It is now my honor to again chair this fantastic organization as it begins its next 40 years. During 2010 we will continue to expand our comprehensive, community based programs into Hendricks County and add to our hub system in Marion County as well as develop plans to bring Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis into Boone and Hamilton counties. The board remains steadfast in its mission to help the girls of greater Indianapolis become strong, smart, and bold^SM. We are committed to being able to serve more girls than ever before. And we are dedicated to continue our service as an important resource to everyone who deals with both the challenges and opportunities facing girls here in greater Indianapolis.

I invite you to consider making your own difference in a girl’s life by reading more about how we serve girls in greater Indianapolis, becoming a volunteer or making a donation. However you choose to join in the start of our next 40 years, I welcome you!

2010 Board Officers

Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis has made a concerted effort to add diversity with relation to gender, ethnicity, and professional experience to the Board of Directors. The diversified board enhances the organization's ability to administer its programs, proactively raise funds, and provide strategic direction.
