Need a Speaker?
Is your association, civic organization or club seeking a speaker? Girls Inc. can help! Our trained speakers will travel to your location to educate your group on how Girls Inc. is making a difference in the lives of thousands of girls annually as well as highlight a range of volunteer opportunities.
Who are the speakers?
Our speakers will travel in teams of two to your location and speak with your group. The specific speakers for your program will be determined according to speaker availability. Please note: Girl speakers are only available outside of school hours.
Girl Speakers: Girl speakers are between the ages of 14 – 18 and have been trained in public speaking by Butler University and Girls Incorporated® of Greater Indianapolis. Girl participants have attended summer camp or participated in at least three outreach programs.
Alumnae Speakers: Alumnae speakers are women who participated in Girls Incorporated® programming during their childhood or attended a Girls Incorporated® club.
Board Member Speakers: These speakers consist of individuals who are either current or past board leaders.
What to expect
A typical speech will last 10 – 20 minutes in length and will cover the mission of Girls Inc., both speakers’ individual experiences and upcoming volunteer opportunities.
At this time, there is no fee to schedule our speakers. However if your organization desires to give an honorarium for their service, you may do so as a donation to Girls Incorporated® of Greater Indianapolis.
To request a speaker for your meeting, please submit the speakers bureau request form. A Girls Incorporated® staff member will contact you to confirm the details of your request.
