Christy Barlow, Director of Programs
Christy Barlow is the director of programs at Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis. In this position since 2008, Christy has implemented best practices in program delivery, partnerships, and personnel engagement to provide the best possible experience for girl participants. Her key focus for 2011 is expanding Girls Inc. services to the surrounding counties to inspire ALL girls of greater Indianapolis. She also plans to implement key strategies on tackling parent engagement in an outreach setting.
Christy has focused her professional career on serving local youth, demonstrated by her work at the GEO Foundation and Girls Scouts of Central Indiana. Christy first got to know Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis when she managed the former Fountain Square Center from 2001-05. Christy has bachelor’s degrees in elementary education and special education from Marian University. Most of her time outside of work is spent inspiring her own girls (ages 5 ½ and 3) to be strong, smart, and bold!
