Top 10 ways to raise money for girls and have a little fun, too!

  1. Garage Sale - Remember the old saying, “One person's junk is another's person’s treasure?” Gather all that stuff that has been hanging out in your garage. Put it in your front yard and sell, sell, sell on behalf of the girls!
  2. Loose Change - This is a great project to do with your kids. Take old yogurt cups, decorate them, and then pass them out to your family and friends. Ask them if they are willing to deposit their coins and return a full cup to you to support Girls Inc.
  3. Office Fundraising Challenge - Get those competitive juices flowing! Speak to your co-workers and challenge them to raise the highest amount to support Girls Inc. Give the winner a prize…maybe a gift certificate to dinner or a book of Mike’s Car Washes.
  4. Theme Party/Dinner - At a loss as what to do with your leisure suit? Hold a theme party for 10 (or more) of your friends. Ask them to donate $50 per person to support strong, smart and bold programs for girls.
  5. Birthday Bash - Get down...get down! Throw yourself a birthday party and ask your friends to forgo shopping for you and make a charitable donation to Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis instead!
  6. Hair Salon - Ask your stylist to donate $2 of every haircut they complete over one weekend to Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis.
  7. Baby sitting - All parents could use a little break. Offer up your baby sitting services for a small donation to Girls Inc. and let your friends have a night out on the town.
  8. Bowling Nights - Don’t strike out and miss this fun way to raise money for Girls Inc! Plan a night of bowling at your local lanes. Ask the owner to waive the cost of bowling and you can collect that money and turn it into a donation.
  9. Bake Sale - Okay, Betty Crocker, it’s time to give back! Pull out your favorite recipes and start baking. Ask your friends to do the same. You can hold your bake sale to benefit Girls Inc. at a local school, church, or even the office.
  10. Movie Night - Invite friends and family over to watch a new release. Make sure to pop lots of popcorn, stock up on theater-style candy, and provide enough soda for everyone. Ask individuals to donate to Girls Inc. what they normally would pay to the theatre.
